Good social climate – friendly and active people, strong tradition of family life, the lowest number of children born out of wedlock, the highest portion of believers in the republic, low divorce rate, safety, low crime.
Good environment – the protected areas of the White Carpathians and Beskydy occupy approximately 30% of the region. The ecological load of the region is one of the lowest in the entire country; at the same time the region is one of the most forested.
Deep cultural roots and living traditions - the highest number of folklore events in Central Europe, great variety of traditional crafts, connection of three ethnographic areas (Wallachia, Moravian Slovakia and Haná), film industry, professional theatres, many galleries, museums and a philharmonic orchestra. A high density of buildings of national cultural heritage in all styles.
University centre - Zlín is the seat of the Tomáš Baťa University, a dense network of primary and secondary schools, which specialize in many different subjects and often draw on long traditions, is another feature typical of the region.
Economic potential - skilful and hard working people, the region's strategic position on the border between South and North, East and West Europe, tradition of the engineering industry, the production of rubber based products, plastics, steel industry, electric engineering, leather processing and chemical industry, the building and aviation industry and the positive outlook of the building of strategic zones in many places around the region.
